Have you ever ran flex joint? I have always ran Hiem joints or rod end for just about everything. Recently I had tried a couple of these flex joints with a adjustable locking collar.
I really like these joints, they appear to be super strong, they have a nice long shank and rebuildable! When I installed them on Gray Jeep and it introduced a vibration in the front axel. I pulled them back out and found that they were not preloaded. The ball felt loose and I could feel it click if I tried to move the whole thing from end to end or side to side.
Pretty easy to fix. just need to remove from vehicle and loosen the set screw and use a spanner to tighten. All of mine ended up only needed to tighten by one position, You can see the black mark on the collar moved clockwise by one detent. Loose and or wore out component’s are a big reason for death wobble.
