I have been looking for replacement doors for months and finally decided to just do a simple set of tube doors with a latch.
We have some repair work to address first.
The top hinge on the driver's side door was ripped off before I bought the Jeep.
I got some hinges and latches from Mopar and took some 1 inch tube and started by removing the fender to gain access to the damaged hinge area.
I had a piece of steel laser cut to add support to the hinge area that will be welded in along with the new hinge.
Fitting the tubes together is relatively easy; cut to the length you like and tack together straight and level. A “C” shaped piece of steel was cut out and drilled to match the factory bolt holes. A bar was added at an angle to help rigidize the door, and a Molle Panel for a place to strap accessories.
