Ok, so I didn’t want our first ride of the year to be chucked full break downs or issues so we decided to get all of our gear out and knock the dust off of everything, It turned into a great exercise for everyone. I did invite a couple friends and met in Spanish Springs to run a rather easy trail just to warm everyone up for the year
The scenery was beautiful, and the day was warm and sunny, so it was a fantastic day to be out. All of the rigs Did well with only very minor issues that were easy to fix on the trail not bad for some of it to sit for so long over this winter.
After we ran the first loop we ditched the side by sides and took the Jeeps out. The two trucks continued with us but now at a slower pace.
One truck that joined was the blue Ford Ranger of Hailee Raburn. Here she pushes the truck just a little. I look forward to seeing what she does with the truck. LS swap Hailee ?!?!
How did white Jeep do? Well, I still suck at taking lots of photos and videos of this stuff, I promise I will do better in the future. A friend of mine did get this video of a white Jeep doing a short hill climb. The video never does justice as this on film looks like not much of a hill and it was fairly short but it was pretty steep.
Overall, I’m very happy with how the Jeep performed. Even with super cheap wore-out rough country shocks, it was a pleasure to drive in the dirt. It would easily outpace the gray Jeep. The longer front links made such a big difference in how the front performed. I’m sure stiffening the unibody helped keep everything in place and predictable. The steering brace kept steering pointing in the direction I wanted it to.
