Let me introduce WHITE JEEP. First things first let’s find a better name. Please feel free to send me some suggestions.
I bought this Jeep out of desperate times and it never really served its purpose anyhow. It’s time to get this girl going again. Truth be told the Jeep actually runs decent. I need to clean up some vacuum leaks and maybe another gallon of simple green and an afternoon with the pressure washer.
The Specs: Most of this car is stock, or well beaten up. The Interior is pretty much destroyed so I will likely strip most of it and install at least two bucket seats. Dash and instruments are in pretty poor shape so we may need to do something there as well. The fact it’s missing doors is also annoying. I’m thinking of some fabricated half doors.
The lift is a rough country 4″ short arm. I think. Everything is pretty worn out and the upper control arm bushings, while it’s still technically installed the rubber has retired and gone home quite a long time ago.
The only work that has been done is the steering and it had to be done right away as even the knuckles had to be replaced as even they were worn out (wallowed out at the tie rod) I put a budget one-ton steering on it also from Rough country. That may stay or be upgraded depending on how it feels after the rest of the work is done. honesty it’s not a bad part. Unfortunately, that was before I was documenting anything, but I’m sure we will have the opportunity to do one-ton steering again.
The plan: Remove all suspension and go through all components and replace what will be used again. Full Frame plating then long arm conversation for the front and upgraded shock package so it can carry at least some speed on trails. I was not planning on making it any taller than it already is I feel it’s a good height for a starter platform.
What else should we do before it’s listed?
